7 Ways to Make Time for yourself as a Busy Mom?

Self-care is proper and necessary to a reasonable degree. You might ask, “How do I date myself?” Dating yourself includes caring for yourself, respecting yourself, and having a healthy sense of self-worth. Step into your comfort zone with these ideas on dating yourself.

  1. Get ready for the day. It all starts with getting yourself ready for the day. Have a peaceful morning routine. Pamper yourself with your favorite skincare essentials.
  2. Get dressed up or dress down. Whether you are the time that loves to play dress up or feel comfy in your best loungewear, wear something that makes you feel good. My grandmother was not the typical grandmother type. She was a very youthful and outgoing individual and I considered her more than a grandmother. She was my friend. She told me that she always look forward to waking up in the morning and getting dress up even if she had nowhere to go. She would sit in her recliner in the living room or she would go and sit on her front lawn which was her favorite thing to do and she would be dressed like she was getting ready to go to a party. The point was that getting dressed up and looking fashionable was something that made her happy.
  3. To Plan or not to plan? It is good to plan out your day so that you can make sure you will have time to do all of the activities that you want to do, or you can be spontaneous and do the first thing that comes to mind. It’s your choice how you want to spend the day so you can either squeeze in some alone time or spend the day with friends and family.
  4. Treat yourself with a nice gift. While you are out shopping and buying nice things for your kids don’t forget to treat yourself. Every once in a while you should buy yourself something you really want. It doesn’t necessarily have to be something expensive. You can find something to pamper yourself for any budget.
  5. Think positive. Think highly of yourself. Don’t let negative thoughts and emotions take their toll. If you were on an actual date with someone, you wouldn’t list all of your negative qualities and why you are not the right person to be in a relationship with, so don’t tell those things to yourself. If you think something is true about you then it is. That is why you should think and speak positively about yourself. Make a list of your best qualities and what you and everyone else loves about you.
  6. Set Goals. Do an honest self-examination. Think about the things that you want to achieve or work on no matter how big or small. Remember small goals are the stepping stones to larger ones. Once you make your list of goals, think about how you are going to reach them and put a plan in motion. At the end of each week reflect on how well you reached your goal and what could you have done better. Make each moment an opportunity to grow!

7. Enjoy a luxurious shower or Bath. I don’t have a tub in my bathroom. We had a standard tub/shower unit but we converted the whole thing into a walk-in shower and I love it. I will make time for myself and take a long shower and enjoy using my favorite shower essentials and when I am really trying to pamper myself I pull out my luxury shower products and my favorite body scrub. If you are a bath person who loves to soak in the tub then try using a bath bomb then light a few candles and enjoy silence or relaxing sounds.
